Richard’s Experience
Richard was typical of my adult patients who wanted straight teeth but without fixed braces or any drilling of the natural teeth. The modern solution is Invisalign – a discreet tooth aligner system dubbed ‘contact lenses for teeth’. This case was done in 2003 and I have done hundreds of similar cases since.
I had always had a slight cross-over with my top, front teeth. However, by the time I reached my early forties, this was becoming much more pronounced. Apart from causing some discomfort, I was also becoming quite self conscious and would avoid smiling whenever possible. The prospect of two years of Invisalign was, initially, quite daunting. However, the process passed very quickly. Additionally, as obvious progress is made very quickly, the insentive and motivation to continue is very high.
I have now had perfectly straight teeth for five years and could not be happier with Invisalign and, especially, Elliot Stevenson-Smith who treated me. Once a week, I wear a retainer overnight but otherwise, I forget that my teeth were ever crooked.
Louise's Experience
Louise wanted a better smile. Her front teeth were twisted and stuck out to the extent that she was self conscious. We decided to straighten the teeth with invisalign. Whitening was also done and three porcelain veneers were then done to lengthen some of the front teeth. A beautiful natural looking smile has been created by combining these various techniques and Louise hasn't looked back.
Dear Elliot
It feels a long time ago now that I was unhappy with my teeth... Anyway, I am extremely happy with my new smile :) I hadn't imagined the dramatic impact it would have on how I feel about myself. I hadn't realised I was as unhappy with my teeth as I clearly was because once I'd used invisalign and completed the treatment with veneers the confidence my new smile gave me was amazing. I couldn't be happier, so it's a good job I have a new smile to show off.
The confidence a new smile gives you can't be measured all I know is I can't believe I waited till my late thirties to get the work done. Had I known before what I know now I wouldn't have hesitated for a minute.
My teeth must be looking good because a number of my friends have imbarked on invisalign treatment since they've seen the results!
Best Wishes!
